Welcome to the Sounds Like a Search and Rescue Podcast! Also known as SLASR. Join an experienced search and rescue volunteer and his friend as they discuss all things related to hiking and search and rescue in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
This week, In the run up to episode 100 - we revisit a topic we covered way back on Episode 3 - the 52 With a View list - people often complain about crowds and their desire for more solitude on the trail - the 52 with a view offers hikers in New Hampshire a chance to experience some of the less crowded but more scenic peaks in and around the White Mountains and yes, there are some busy peaks on this list as well. We will break it down for those of you thinking about exploring something other than a 4000 foot peak and I’ll do my best to sell you on why I think this list is actually better than the 4000 footer list. All this plus Stomp goes to Livermore, Mike goes to Cabot, Beer, Pop Culture Talk, Snowmobile crashes and some Bigfoot sightings in New Hampshire!
